When speaking of WA wine two things come to mind, the "Margaret River" and "Cabernet Sauvignon". The Margaret River is famous for its reds and in particular its Cabernet Sauvignon which is generally compared to that of neighbouring state SA. Development however in WA has seen wine growers establish vines in areas such as Frankland River, Mt Barker and Albany to further wine production in the state while trying to produce the fantastic results as seen in the Margaret. Among others some exciting wines are being produced from Moss Wood, Leeuwin Estate and Cullens.
The area surrounding Albany is rich in natural beauty. The majestic Stirling Ranges and the Mt Barker wine region to the north, the dramatic Southern Ocean coastline and the many gorgeous small rural towns.
