Queensland is a state who's wine growers are on the increase. With varying climates the location of a vineyard is paramount. The cooler higher altituide regions are a good example of forward planing as vines enjoy these conditions. Shiraz and Cabernet are coming along well in Queensland with Merlot and Semillon development also expanding. Brands such as Mt Tambourine, Mt Cotton Wines, Mountview and Robinsons Family wines are well worth trying.
