Many moons ago in 1788 the first fleet arrived in NSW. Perseverence in such a warm climate saw the humble beginings of viticulture in NSW. Tropical, coastal and even cooler climate high altituide wines have been developed successfully now for many years and brands such as Rosemount, McWilliams Hanwood, De Bortoli and Jindalee have produced great table wines at very desirable prices.
